Asphalt millings are ground-up recycled asphalt that resembles a fine gravel and can be utilized almost anywhere you would install gravel, concrete, or fresh asphalt. After an asphalt surface life is over, the asphalt is removed, crushed, and can be re-installed as asphalt millings. Millings have many of the same characteristics of fresh asphalt and come with many advantages and curb appeal.
Since it is a recycled product, asphalt millings are an economical choice costing less than paving. Maintaining millings is also a less costly process as they only require periodic grading and re-compaction. Milling are a great solution if you’re looking to create a surface strong enough to withstand the Michigan freeze/thaw cycle.
